    A collaborative organization that works with the SGV Council of Governments, LA County and the LA Homeless Services Authority, whose purpose is to educate, collaborate and advocate, in order to increase capacity and maximize resources to end homelessness in the SGV area of LA. (This position originated with the SGV Regional Homeless Strategy, and was called the SGV Housing & Homeless Coordinating Council, before merging with the Consortium in 2012). This collaborative organization whose purpose was to be a unifying voice to build will, increase capacity and maximize resources to prevent and end homelessness in the San Gabriel Valley area of Los Angeles. Between 2010-12, over 6.8 million dollars were targeted into the SGV, housing over 170 men, women and children. With the help of our strategic partner, the SGV Consortium on Homelessness, collaborations have been created, referral systems have been enhanced, and advocacy has been organized to help address homelessness in the SGV. Since a return to this role in 2019, we have doubled the attendance of monthly meetings, held semi-annual summits of over 100, and developed 6 working groups to implement strategies to reduce homelessness.
