Scott commenced his accounting career with Boyce in February 2001 as a Cadet. He combined part time work with study at the University of Wollongong and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2004. Scott continued his studies to qualify as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2006. Scott was admitted as a Director on 1 July 2012. During his time with Boyce, Scott has worked in the Goulburn, Wagga Wagga and Moree offices; and from 2007 in the Dubbo office. The adverse client base of each office enabled Scott to gain an insight into a broad cross-section of industries and regions. Scott’s strengths as a business advisor is founded upon his depth of understanding of management accounting and its application to businesses; large and small. Scott has a keen interest in agriculture and is the firm’s specialist in interpreting and explaining the assistance measures provided by Federal and State Governments during times of drought or floods. As well as client work, Scott plays a leading role in the firm’s Standards Committee. HE is responsible for implementing updates to the Boyce precedents and standards, and for ensuring that all systems and processes and efficient and technically robust.
