I have worked in the Synology America Corp. office to provide customer service, technical support and help desk services, and answer pre-sales inquiries for customers via phone, an online ticketing system, or remote desktop throughout North and South America. Troubleshooting networking, software, and hardware problems. Either solving the issue alone or involving other team members for further assistance. Customer Support: Worked upwards of 70 support tickets and customer phone calls a day, and over 6000 support tickets throughout my employment. At times utilized Teamviewer or AnyDesk.Troubleshooting: Issues involving computer networking; NAS and router setup and management; surveillance equipment; LDAP and Active Directory servers; hardware performance; SSL certification; internet stability; network security and firewall settings; media servers and streaming; File transfer protocol issues involving VPN, WebDAV, FTP, SMB, AFP, SSH, iSCSI, NFS. Software: Provided support for Synology proprietary software including:Synology Active Backup Suite: Centralizes backup tasks for VMware, Hyper-V, Windows endpoints, Office 365 and G Suite to Synology NAS. Synology Surveillance Station: Network Video Recording (NVR) software designed for centralizing IP cameras management to record, stream, and store surveillance footage. Hardware Support: Troubleshooted issues to determine hardware problems involving Synology NAS; Wi-Fi routers; HDDs and SSDs; RAM Modules; power supplies; Network Interface Cards, Rail kits, and issuing and facilitating RMAs as needed.Company Involvement: Mentored new support team members as part of their on-boarding process. Wrote documentation for company and customer use. Helped develop and improve company operating procedures.
