The Manager of Campus Security Operations is responsible for managing the day to day operations of Campus Security to ensure a safe and secure campus in which to learn, teach, work and visit. The Manager is accountable for providing strong leadership to the entire Campus Security team and for establishing productive relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders to achieve exemplary client service. The Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day delivery of safety and security services to the University community, for directly supervising the work of 4 Campus Security Shift Supervisors and for ensuring the effective performance of 12 front line security officers.Key components of the Manager’s portfolio include; operational planning, developing unit policies and procedures, managing programs and projects, conducting investigations, assessing University wide needs and managing risk, crisis management and emergency response, special events and staff supervision, orientation/training and performance management.The Manager reports to the Director of Security and Operations, and works collaboratively with the Facilities Managers Team (FMT) in providing strategic leadership to the department, university faculties, administrative departments and other work units. Oversee the Gameday Security Operation for over 70 security staff at the Saskatchewan Roughrider Games

Duties and responsibilities include: safety and security of inmates; provide guidance and support during the inmates incarceration; assist with the delivery of social, recreational and educational programs; participate in educational programs such as life safety, health services, emergency response, suicide intervention, and non-violent crisis intervention; refers inmates to social worker/classification officer; apply non-violent crisis intervention techniques where possible when solving inmate crisis; conducts body searches, frisks, cell searches and inmate counts; if needed, applies reasonable use of force in restraining inmates, including application of restraint equipment; report writing and some assessment of inmates are required.

Duties included: Facilitate Cognitive Skills programming with the residents; ensure their safety and security; ensure any schoolwork was completed if applicable; escorted residents on outings/home visits.
