I manage overall IT operations for GMR, including a staff of 19 networking, helpdesk, internal systems development, and financial application professionals. I also direct our IT Sarbanes-Oxley program, including policy and procedures, testing, and audits. Recently, my focus has been on improving IT customer service and efficiency. And whatever else comes up.During my time at GMR, I have worked my up from Project Manager to IT Manager to IT Director to Vice President by consistently and successfully taking on additional responsibilities and more strategic roles. I still maintain my love of technology, willingness to jump in and get my hands dirty, and customer service focused attitude.

At Affinity Corporation, a telecommunications company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I transitioned from a position in Customer Service into a programming job in the IT department. Over time, I worked my up through Network Administration, Project Management, and finally into the IT Manager role where I managed a team of several developers and support staff. Our team designed, developed and supported a large telecommunications billing and customer service application written in Informix 4GL and Gupta SQL Windows.

At Echoes, an independent music retailer in Williamsburg, Virginia, I worked as Assistant Manager and was responsible for store operations, sales, opening and closing duties, and purchasing duties. This was a great experience where I was able to continue to grow in my love and knowledge of music as well as begin to learn people management skills that would follow through my career.

At Band Box, an independent music retailer in the college town of Williamsburg, VA, I worked in retail sales while attending classes at The College of William and Mary. I learned the true value of customer service here as we had many repeat customers who valued the knowledgeable, friendly service they received.
