We are building a new Assisted Living Village Property and Operations business with a significant private equity partner. We will be developing large retirement villages across the South of England to meet the challenges of providing safe, secure, healthy and quality residential homes with associated care services as required. The unprecedented demographic increase in people over the aged of 65 in the next 10 years will require a fresh approach to the retirement market. In addition to this we are also offering development management expertise in residential (for sale and rental) property development from inception to handover and completion. Our experience of modelling is not just limited to punching numbers into standard agentcy software, but building models and truely from a client or funders perspective the detail and impact behind the numbers.

Resposnsible for orginating property development deals and projects in the retirement living, student accommodation and private rented sector. I managed both internal teams as well external consultants in the creation of this sister business.

Acanthus is a small niche property deveopment and management company based in South Buckinghamshire. It is mainly developing high value luxury houses and apartments within the South East but also looking at opportunities abroad and in Edinburgh.As Managing Director I was responsible for seeking land, modelling, design, construction, sales and marketing - "cradle to grave" operations.The company aims to break the mould of builder developer houses and create well designed, build and professionally managed homes.Acanthus built a sustantial number of units, which mainly sold to retireed customers.

I was responsible for the development and project management of the £150M Radcliffe campus for the University of Oxford, taking both the new Humanities HQ and library through concept planning, and the new Mathematics building from concept through to tender stage.

I was part of the Executive Mace management team reporting directly to RBS main baord and CEO for the £350M RBS World HQ in Edinburgh. This involved complex stakeholder management, coordination of over 70 consultants and coordination with the Mace Construction Management team.I also led the development of the operations and facilties management of the project with the RBS internal team and Compass, as well as Macro FM - this was on an enormous scale for an estate of 500,000ft2 of offices, as well as another 300,000ft2 of facilities such as leisure centre, staff club, nursery, conference centre and TV studio.I was ultimately promoted to completely lead the £50M RBS Executive Business School, in association with HBS, Case Western and Wharton Business schools. This resulted in me being invited to HBS to attend an executive training week focusing on Lean business transformation.

I was appointed as both project director to lead the companies largest on most prestigious project to conversion for the formmer BBC Scotland HQ into luxury apartments.As well as having overall operation and deevlopment responsibility for this project I also assisted the Main board with the Lean Transformation of the business structure.
