• Hired as Stroz Friedberg’s first full-time general counsel, with responsibility for worldwide legal affairs, as well as compliance and data privacy. • Worked with the management team to create an approach to legal issues that was strategic and, overall, supported the goals of the business, reduced risk, and saved on outside counsel fees. • Built a formal and robust General Counsel’s Office sized to meet the needs of the company. • Established a formal and robust compliance function to oversee and manage compliance with regulatory requirements as well as internal policies and procedures.• Took a leading role in domestic and international M&A activity to help drive the growth of the company, including five strategic acquisitions over as many years, as well as the company’s sale to Aon in late 2016.• Until completion of the Aon acquisition, supported the company’s Board of Directors with attendance at Board meetings, as well as attendance at Board committee meetings.• Served as Corporate Secretary until completion of the Aon acquisition, and in that role ensured that proper minutes and records were kept, and that all necessary resolutions were issued for actions authorized by the Board.• Key member of transition team leading integration of Stroz Friedberg into the Aon group of companies.

• Focused on U.S. and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, commercial contracts, and counseling and litigation involving copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, the rights of publicity and privacy and data security. • Based initially in New York, and then later working out of the firm's Boston and London offices, advised a broad spectrum of U.S. and international clients, from growth-stage companies to some of the world's largest corporations, as well as private equity firms and investment banks.• Upon departure, was the leader of the Boston office Intellectual Property and Technology Group, and a member of the firm’s London-based Cross-Border Mergers & Acquisitions team.
