Scott focuses on the implementation of the Skills to Jobs model in multiple locations across multiple industries. He leads the identification of critical local demand needs, quantification of the case for change, definition of job competencies by employers, identification of career pathways and skill up options for job seekers, connection of employers and job seekers, and tracking/reporting of impact and return on investment outcomes. Areas of focus include the creation of career pathways for Careers in Colorado (www.mycoloradojourney.com/journey/tools/careers) and the Family-centered Employment Toolkit created with the National Association of Workforce Boards (www.nawb.org/two_generation_workforce.asp).

Scott volunteers half-time with Colorado non-profit organizations, furthering collaboration between business, education, government, and non-profit organizations with a focus on strengthening the tie between the competency needs of business and the ability of non-profits and educators to help job seekers develop those competencies. He supports several great organizations such as CrossPurpose, The Bridge Network, Activate Workforce Solutions, Trendlines, Blind Institute of Technology, Colorado Homebuilders Academy, and Work-life Partnership. These organizations recognize that everyone needs the right job/life skills, mentorship and coaching, and a good entry-level job with a pathway to a career, as well as a foundation that enables success: stable housing, healthcare, childcare, food, good educational opportunities, reliable transportation, etc.. This is true regardless of a person’s circumstances, background, or location…and more support is needed for those who have not had the blessings I have had. We partner with employers that intentionally provide opportunities and support needed for their employees and their families to thrive. We then work with job seekers/employees to provide the training, support, and wrap around services needed to remove barriers that keep people from success. A particular area of focus is removing the barriers created by the benefits cliff effect, which often leads to families losing thousands of dollars of benefits when they receive a small raise. I work with the families as well as employers and government entities to smooth out the cliffs, enabling a successful move from minimum wage to the middle class through a series of raises and promotions.

Led programming and operations for the Accenture Foundation. Led the implementation of the Foundation’s mission to provide funding that enables Accenture communities in support of Accenture’s Corporate Citizenship direction, creating a positive sustainable change in people’s lives. Focused on developing the foundation's strategy, partner relationship development, idea and grant origination, and grant management.

Responsible for leading the implementation, operation and maintenance of large computer applications and business process outsourcing activities for several Accenture clients. Activities led include consulting, software development, data warehousing, help desk, network/systems administration, cybersecurity, and financial services. Scott's focus was building client relationships, leading teams, setting strategic direction and managing projects. Areas of expertise included the implementation and maintenance of enterprise-wide Financial systems, such as SAP and PeopleSoft, and optimizing performance for long-term contracts.
