I am one of the lucky ones who has turned a passion into a career. Since age 7, I have played golf, watched golf, and worked in golf. Golf has taken me from a tiny town in the mountains of Virginia to more than 80 countries around the world. I’ve seen things I could have never imagined.Over 30 years ago, I started a journey to help golf companies grow. I first joined the PGA TOUR to sell memberships within the TPC network. I met Gary Player along the way and joined him to run his golf course design business. After 15 years of international growth, I left Gary Player Design to help build OnLink, a software company that fed data to golf course superintendents. John Deere saw value in the company and bought it in 2019.I am a partner in multiple golf courses, including Royal New Kent near Richmond (www.royalnewkent.com), and my childhood course in SW Virginia, Holston Hills Golf Course. It has been rewarding to take a struggling municipal course to a successful semi-private club. See www.holstonhillsgolf.com.My latest role is Founding Partner of Kawonu Golf Club, a private, golf-only club in Greenville County, South Carolina. The club was established in May of 2024 and projected to open in 2027. Noted architect Andrew Green has been engaged to design the course.On the philanthropic side, I spent over ten years as a Board Member of the First Tee of the Upstate South Carolina. During that time, the chapter saw revenue grow by a multiple of 10.
