Must be available to respond immediately following storm events and other emergencies impacting the electric system. Thorough knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in electric line work. Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and the proper safety precautions. Considerable knowledge of the principles of electrical theory as applied to electric distribution systems. Knowledge of first aid, including artificial respiration. Ability and willingness to climb poles and to work among high-tension wires, exercising proper safety precautions. Ability to understand and follow oral instructions quickly and accurately.
