After 25 years working in politics/government relations, I decided to go to culinary school and get an AAS in Culinary Arts. I am now a highly experienced, creative and professional chef. Past Bio:Scott’s career started in 1992 as a Texas House of Representatives Sergeant-At-Arms. In 1993, he joined the legislative staff of Representative Ray Allen where he rose to become Chief-of-Staff in 1997. During his 13-year tenure at the Capitol, he also served on the staffs of several State Representatives and a State Senator. He worked continuously in government or with government affairs clients for close to 25 years. During his lengthy tenure at the Capitol, he developed expertise in the legislative arena and gained many of the skills that he applies today. As a key staff person, Mr. Gilmore successfully shepherded hundreds of important pieces of legislation through passage into law, including the Clean Air Act of 1999, the Concealed Handgun law, Sex Offender Registration and Notification Laws, Civil Commitment law, the post 9/11 Homeland Security and Open Records rewrite, the Pre-natal Protection Act and numerous criminal justice measures.Scott has worked with some of the country’s most recognizable corporations providing strategic advice and business development expertise. He also has worked with numerous high-profile statewide trade associations offering management, governmental affairs and communications services. Specialties: During his lengthy tenure at the Capitol, Scott Gilmore developed expertise in the areas of environmental regulation, economic development and criminal justice.
