Performed legal research and writing in administrative, civil, and criminal matters pending before the Honorable Reggie B. Walton. Attended hearings and advised in complex administrative law matters, Guantanamo detainees' habeas petitions, and securities litigation.

Performed criminal, constitutional, and international law analysis in a range of prosecutions, from international organized crime to torture and human smuggling. Drafted court filings, warrant requests, and pre-trial memoranda.

Served as law clerk for the Judiciary Subcommittee on Human Rights and the Law. Performed constitutional and statutory analysis on the DREAM Act, Honest Services Fraud Restoration Act, and Fair Sentencing Act. Prepared briefing on ratifying the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).

Served as law clerk for the ABA Center for Human Rights. Drafted ABA policy report and recommendation endorsing the U.N. Framework for Business and Human Rights (adopted by ABA House of Delegates in 2011). Helped conceptualize and organize the 2010 International Symposium on Mass Atrocity Prevention in Paris, France.

Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter.Black Ox Orkestar began in the summer of 2000, the project of four Montreal musicians exploring their common Jewish heritage for sounds that could speak to them today. Listening to pre-war recordings of Jewish and non-Jewish music from Eastern Europe and the Balkans, they wanted to capture the rawness and emotional intensity they heard there. They also threw their own musical histories into the mix, their years of playing out-jazz, punk rock, or weird folk, creating not so much a fusion of old and new as a way to tear the old sounds from the past and make them resonate in the present. The band tries to be true to the strangeness and beauty of these archaic songs, translating them into new forms, and writing new material that continues an imaginary tradition still humming in their ears.
