Responsibilities include management of all electronic systems, including voice, data and cellular services; Manage budget, research and purchase electronic systems and services; Manage vendor relations and negotiate service levels and contracts.Technical Environment: 300 Active Directory Users, 15 servers and 125 workstations (many shared). Windows 2003, Exchange 2003, SQL 2000, Sharepoint and specialized applications such as Raiser’s Edge, Idexx Cornerstone & Chameleon. Analysis of Society business and support requirements: Worked with multiple contributors – board members, senior management and various department individual contributors -- to identify business needs and define requirements; subsequently developed overall IT strategy and vision plan for the next five years. Implementation planning: Planned and implemented complete network migration from a Windows 2000/NT environment to Windows 2003/XP including all of the Society’s applications. Implemented replacement of backup systems and strategy. Installed disaster recovery and business continuity planning and procedures.Communication and evaluation process: Initiate meetings with President, Directors and Dept. heads to deliver the needs analysis, propose solutions and gain buy in from the top down on the changes or processes that may be required to achieve success. Continue to deliver status and results in weekly executive staff meetings. Contract negotiation and vendor management: Negotiated new voice, data and cell phone contracts, resulting in $35,000 annual savings. Negotiated SLA with third party support vendor, resulting in $50,000 annual savings
