Climatic Wind Tunnel testing of future model vehicles, and facility maintenance. (Short term Contract).

This position involved writing all the test procedures that the Functional Team would perform on the Prototype 'BARRA' cars once they were built. This included Repeatability and Reliability Studies on all of the tests, training the people that would perform these tests, gathering this information together and also providing causal analysis of the data collected to help the project teams rectify any faults found during testing. I also liaised with the Dealer Technical Training Team, and the Workshop Manual / Owner’s Manual teams in FCSD, providing them with both information and access to the cars, and also helping them 'proof-read' the Draft Repair and Owners Manuals. I also wrote the new model training booklets and delivered this training to the end of line repair Mechanics and F.C.P.A Auditors in Assembly Plant 1 on the new 'BARRA' cars. At the start of 2003, this role was expanded to also include E-265 (Territory) Launch, with responsibility for the PDA area (Wheel Alignment, Test Rolls, IRS Balancing, and Mechanical Repair in terms of Facilities Operation, Process methods and Mechanics Training); this also included insuring that all Prototype & Pre-Production cars were tested through the End of Line testing process. In June 2004 I was placed on special assignment in the Quality Assurance department in B/M Assembly Plant 1 for 6 months; my role was to evaluate and re-write all of the Quality Assurance processes and procedures to incorporate new vehicle changes for the BF Falcon and South African Territory model launches, I also provided training and new model technical assistance to the plant auditing staff as required.

Helped provide Ford Dealers in Australia, New Zealand, & South Africa with the diagnostic expertise they required via the telephone to help them diagnose & repair Ford Vehicles. I was also required to appear on the Fordstar 'TV' network via Satellite to present information to Dealers and their staff. My position in the Technical Hotline also involved visiting Dealers to help rectify Customer Vehicle concerns on various models, and helping the Customer Relationship Centre with their technical enquiries as needed.
