* Responsible for operational delivery of a 320k sq ft Warehouse, which manages all in store equipment and store development for M&S. * Main day to day link between Wincanton, 3 M&S Business unit owners and GM logistics. * Full responsibility for the planning and execution of a £3.5m operational budget. * Oversea end to end stock management and supply chain, ensuring a high level of stock integrity is achieved at all times. * To maintain and develop a highly organised and effective operation. * Effectively manage and motivate a strong workforce, with the aid of development, succession planning and training in order to ensure the service provided meets the highest levels of performance required by the client. * Ensure ‘Positive Customer Experience’ is embraced by the entire team and is delivered across the operation to provide an engagement culture in line with corporate mission vision and values. * To plan strategically all current and future operations pertaining to the distribution centre in conjunction with the business development plans. * Ensure the site operates in accordance with Health and Safety policy and procedures and that a proactive safety culture is embraced at all levels. * Manage all aspects of the site services and facilities. * Business continuity planning. * Evaluate and monitor Key Performance Indicators. * Implementation and maintenance of best practice value, Standard Operating Plans and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. * Deputise for the General Manager as and when required.

* Part of the start up team for a new contract in a 550,000 sq ft DC. * Produce and implement procedures and training packs for the start up operation. * Managing up to 150 people on shift and control of budgetary targets. * To monitor and maintain an efficient and productive workforce. * To monitor, control and produce all warehouse weekly KPIs. * Recruiting and training of all First Line Managers. * Ensuring all H&S & legal requirements within the department are maintained. * Support HR to ensure disciplinary procedures on site are implemented and maintained. * Identify cost savings within all area’s.
