I am a first year at the University of New Brunswick in the Faculty of Sciences. As a major in biochemistry, I am extremely interested in studying and researching the role of chemical processes in living organisms. In the future, I hope to find a job in a biochemical research field or perhaps apply for medical school.Previously, I attended St. Paul's High School in Winnipeg, MB. It was a requirement at St. Paul's to give back to members in the community who needed it through volunteering. I spend the majority of my volunteer hours at a soup kitchen, serving the less-fortunate lunch on Sundays, and it quickly became one of the highlights of my week. I really enjoyed talking to people and learning about their lives, and I found much satisfaction in giving back to the community.Apart from school and volunteering, I enjoy playing sports and grew up playing many. I am currently member of the UNB Men's Volleyball team and it has been an amazing experience so far. Sports have shown me the importance of teamwork, discipline, and communication. Sports have also allowed me to travel to various places, and has led to many lifelong friendships.
