Scott Maple is a PMP certified senior project manager, focused on building multi-disciplinary, and multi-organizational teams to execute complex technology deployments. His nuclear, chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering expertise derives from 21-years of service aboard Navy submarines and qualification as nuclear propulsion engineer, and qualification for command of submarines. Scott applied his technical skills and tested leadership to projects aimed at promoting the peaceful use of nuclear technologies, and reducing the threat that nuclear weapons and radiological materials pose the United States, US allies and the world. Projects include technical depth, international stakeholder negotiation and management, and project management skills: He led a technically complicated effort to establish a low-enriched uranium fuel fabrication and production line at a US company’s facility to support international agreements to reduce proliferation threats by converting high performance research reactors from operations using high-enriched uranium to low-enriched uranium. Scott led multiple international stakeholder management missions to deploy radiation detection equipment to the foreign country agencies and influence them to detect and interdict illegal incoming, internal and outgoing nuclear and radiological materials to prevent the devastating use of those materials. He led a construction project to build a state-of-the art, 5 acres border security training center in Cyprus to provide an international facility for key foreign partners to combat chemical, biological, nuclear, radiological, and explosive threats to their countries and the world.Scott is will lead or serve on teams intent on exploring and implementing technologies to reduce menacing global treats perpetrated by adversaries.
