I was involved with the NPD programs. I participated in the development of production processes, using GD&T, DFA and PFMEA principles to identify where new equipment and technologies are necessary for the production of products. I worked with other members of the NPD team (Product Engineer, Quality, Operations, Program Management, Marketing) on a daily basis. Led the efforts for capital equipment procurement and installation to address capacity and continuous improvement demands within multiple locations. Equipment included: manual & automated assembly workcenters, testing stations, packaging systems, robotics, marking systems, and many other applications that were purchased individually or procured as an integrated system using many suppliers within the Midwest region.

Working as the MDRE (Manufacturing Design Responsible Engineer) for the hybrid electric motor programs, as well as for various other hybrid related projects, I worked on developing the final assembly lines and the leak testing / sediment testing of the products. I also provided additional support to other members within the manufacturing engineering staff for future production efforts at other global locations.

From 1995 to 2001, I was involved in the planning and implementation of a lean manufacturing program (modeled after the Toyoda Production System) called the Allison Production System. This involved the restructuring of two existing commercial transmission assembly / test areas while having daily interactions with production personnel and operation's management, developing of new process instructions, new tool design and procurement. I was also responsible for the maintenance and reprocessing of the transmission housings onto Hitachi Seiki HMCs and valve bodies onto Makino HMCs.From 2001 to 2010, I was responsible for the development, planning and implementation of a new military transmission assembly and test program for the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV) program. I also was the assembly manufacturing engineer responsible for the production and continuous improvement of the current military transmission programs, including remanufacturing of transmissions.

Develop and designed machine tooling, fixturing and gauges necessary for the manufacture of automatic transmission components, both commercial and military. Designing was both manual drafting board and CAD (using Cadkey, AutoCad, Anvil 5000, Unigraphics). I also worked with outside contract design houses to outsource design and redesign workload.
