At McFadden Farms I operate 300 acres at our family’s multi-generational innovative farm. My expertise ranges from electrical to after-treatment systems and all components of diesel-powered equipment. I properly diagnose defective parts and repair existing parts saving the company over $100,000. I also researched and provided key ideas in the successful proposal of a $13 million city bus contract. We achieved a perfect score of 100% when audited by a third-party company as a school bus transportation fleet due to KPI’s and following policies. While at Kent Ag I was responsible for several equipment repairs both in the shop and in the fields which reduced downtime during critical farming seasons. My farming background gave me an advantage during planting, spraying and harvest seasons to operate the machinery in the most efficient way possible. I also managed 300 acres of soybeans and maintained the quality of various crops in the fields. I was always prepared to make fast decisions in the field as I was often working alone. This company taught me a lot about taking corn notes and other behind the scenes research that goes into the seed farmers put into the ground.

At McBrayne's Feeds 'N Needs I was often in the shop making general repairs to the feed truck and mill and sold over $100,000 in feed. I also spent a lot of time cutting steel and pipe for customers. This required me to provide customers with inspiration and ideas for their fabrication projects. This job demanded a lot of physical labour as I loaded bags of feed. At Advantage Farm Equipment I maintained farmers tractors and heavy-equipment by providing extremely detailed maintenance. I performed small repairs to fan belts, fans, pull to stop cables and replaced tie rods. I effectively communicated with my supervisor throughout the day by filling out work orders and repair requests. At this company, I was also able to complete more complex repairs such as fuel pumps and assist with splitting a tractor to replace a sheared input shaft.
