Established in 1880, it is the also the longest standing Building Society in NSW.As the Financial Planning Manager for IMBFP I was responsible for the management of all financial planning operations, with a specific brief of restructuring non-performing areas within the business. A key outcome in restructuring the IMBFP Business was the sale of a non-core financial planning practice owned by IMBFP, and the buy-back of equity from a strategic partner in the primary financial planning company. This was implemented to re-focus the IMBFP team on strategic growth and profitability of the primary financial planning business and resulted in significant increase in “new business” revenue, and an “A” rated Compliance Audit in 2012.

Established in 1964, Westlawn Finance is a Grafton-based financial advisory business servicing customers across northern New South Wales.As the General Manager, Financial Planning, my key roles and responsibilities were to change the culture within the existing team by means of realigning the professional standards expected within the group and streamlining the investment strategy process. Key achievements included:• The development of efficient office procedures through skilled and incentive driven team functionality.• Integration of new client management software (XPLAN) to improve office efficiency. • Ongoing compliance management regulation through implementation of a peer review process. • Financial reporting upgrade to provide the board with clear and accurate data relating to the financial performance of the business.
