  • Base79
    Business Development & Content Production
    Base79 Jul 2013 - May 2015
    London, United Kingdom
Base79 are a London-based Multi-Channel Network (MCN) that recently merged with Rightster and Viral Spiral Group, making us the biggest MCN outside the US, with offices in 11 countries and pulling in over 1.2bn views per month.Reporting to Patrick Walker, former Head of Video Partnerships at Google, I have established myself as a valuable resource across various departments. I began in Business Development, helping to develop our presence on the platform via content partnership agreements and managing both these and existing partnerships thereafter. Focussing specifically on Sports, I was able to develop my understanding of sports in the digital world and appreciate trends that are unique to this field. Since then, I have become a multi-format producer as part of our programming team, working closely with the ad-sales team on brand campaigns, producing content for our owned & operated YouTube channels and providing strategy consultation for video programming across the company. As part of a deal to sign French Freestyler Sean Garnier to the network, I travelled to Rio de Janeiro for the 2014 World Cup, filming and editing content as a one-man production team for our football skills channel, Ballers, and Sean’s own channel. I manage our network of parkour athletes, as well as the hub channel that services them: Flow. Deciding what content is produced for the channel is my responsibility, as well as all creative aspects across both channel and social feeds. This is our flagship channel and a perfect example of how we can use our assets to benefit our partners as well.
