At Acquity Group, my role as a development lead means that I split my time evenly between technical implementation, and directing a team to deliver software projects. The role demands a high level of time management and attention to detail, and being a prime member in the delivery of software projects.Projects include Thermo Fisher Scientific who tasked Acquity group with implementing a large scale ECommerce system, integrating with many new and existing systems. The Hybris ECommerce product being used as an SOA platform, pushing information to CMS and Search implementations, and pulling from various back end systems. Scott Pardy is an experienced lead developer and architect of large and small web systems specializing in Enterprise Web Applications. Along with his wide breadth of experience in applications development Scott brings to the team a particular expertise in Application Security, Digital Repositories and Web Content Management. Worked as an Architect/Lead Developer on the CMSLite project for the Corporate Online Service division of the Government of BC.CMSLite is a content and workflow management system developed for Corporate Online Services (COS) of the Government of BC. The goal was engineer a solution that would allow their non-technical client users to be able to create, and manage their own content, alleviating the need for technical user intervention.Two production releases were made before handing off continued maintenance to COS employees. It is currently being used to manage several areas of the gov.bc.ca website, with plans to roll it out to more of their users.It is a Java server application exposing REST services to a DOJO desktop style rich client. It integrates to a Teamsite content management system for advances content management features and content deployment.Roles and responsibilities include● Development of application code● Design and document system architecture● Database modelling● XML schema design● Development of application version data migration strategies and scripts● Planning and performing training for end client. The TDR Project is a long term project to build an application for the long term storage, archival, access and management of Canadian multimedia. The application is to be scalable to petabytes of storage. It must provide long term (500 years or more) digital storage. It provides workflow capabilities for the management and creation of the digital assets, and the ability for public access to the archives. It functions as a digital library for documents of cultural importance in Canada. The TDR project uses the Open Archival Information Services (OAIS) standard for its design and architecture. This standard describes industry best standards for creating archival systems such as the TDR.Scott has seen the TDR project through from it’s infancy to 2 production releases.
