Project Engineer of a Cat-III (>$100M) Isopropyl Alcohol Project at the Baton Rouge Chemical Plant. • Managed detailed engineering with multiple engineering companies and tracked engineering progress, action items, and critical engineering reviews - HAZOPs, 3D Model Reviews and IFR/IFC engineering deliverables.• Managed early execution planning - Schedule and CWA development, heavy haul/lifting plans with 3rd party companies and early construction activities.• Evaluated commercial and technical bids of long lead equipment (Distillation columns, heat exchangers, pumps and drums) and issued POs for equipment from the vendors.• Interface with site operations to install process hot taps and utility tie-ins early during the unit turnaround and complete PSSRs on installed equipment.

Project Manager of Development on capital projects less than $25M in various ExxonMobil Baton Rouge and Beaumont Sites. • Led projects from FEL-2 (scope development and lead case selection) through FEL-3, FEED and Detailed Engineering. • Managed the interface between the project team, site operations, engineering contractors and equipment vendors.• Process Designer on capital projects designing process vessels, storage tanks, compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, piping systems and hydraulic models.

• Developed and optimized a 2D and 3D facility plot plan for the Methanol-to-Gasoline process using the OptiPlant software.• Reduced the overall common facilities cost by $6,000,000 by optimizing equipment layout and reducing plot area and pipe length.• Converted the facility into a 3D virtual reality to allow for further optimization from the process design team and give an enhanced visual representation of the chemical process.

• A member of a research group responsible for the design and implementation of a $500,000 apparatus to study the absorption, desorption, and natural convection of methane in non-aqueous fluids.• Performed experiments to improve the practices in handling gas influxes in non-aqueous drilling fluids during well control scenarios and have published 3 research papers and a thesis since joining the research group.

• Haynesville Shale Casing Design Evaluation – Evaluated the current casing design and completion process versus a potential new long string casing design to eliminate several completion failures related to the current design.• Added $12,000,000 in accelerated present value per year by eliminating completion failures that are design related and by completing 2 additional wells per year due to a faster completion process with the new design.• Field experience – Observed multiple hydraulic fracturing operations, a workover rig replacing production tubing, wireline perforating operations and coiled-tubing drilling operations.

• Participated in multiple Process Hazard Analysis for the MMPDC herbicide process, and bromine and trimethylamine process intakes.• Updated the chemical operating procedures and material balances in preparation for the MMPDC five-year review.• Created cost estimates and change orders to install water knockout pots in the plant wide nitrogen and breathing air lines. Oversaw the instillation of the two projects working directly with engineering and maintenance. • Performed lockout-tagouts for tank and vessel inspections in the tank farm. • Performed pressure leak tests on shell and tube heat exchangers before installing them into a new process.

• Scrap Tracking System: Created and implemented an Excel based program using VBA to track cable and wire scrap plant wide. Yearly the plant wastes $10,000,000 in scrap and this system will record where the main issues are occurring. Trained over 400 Bekaert employees on this program.• Machine Calibration: Calibrated over 100 machines to check the accuracy of the cable length counters and recorded the efficiency of production on each machine.• Tested Samples: Daily testing of bezinal samples from baths on the galvanizing line to determine the content percent of aluminum, iron, zinc and several other elements and compared them to regulation standards.
