Project consisted of the design and implementation of a parallel IAP stack including new internet circuits and routers, public zone switching, high availability cluster of firewalls, edge cores, MPLS routers, and multiple DMZ zone switches.• Architect and Implementation Team Lead for a multi-year Global IP, VLAN reassignment, and re-architecting of layer 3 boundaries for a large DoD agency to comply with DoD network security requirements. Responsibilities include scheduling internal and external technical resources, communicating with district and global level Chiefs of Staff for project status updates, challenges, and business impact of work to be performed. Project consists of 3 global areas (Americas, Europe, and Pacific), 75 districts, and over 300 campuses.

• Responsible for all CPE design and configuration standards for Earthlink’s Nationwide Network using but not limited to Cisco, Juniper, and Adtran devices.• Engineering of “Individual Case Basis” complex designs. Responsible for the design, lab testing of solutions, providing detailed network drawings, supporting documentation, and implementation configuration scripts for handoff to Earthlink’s implementation teams. Provided guidance to implementation engineers in regards to “Individual Case Basis” network designs. • Provide Tier 3 support for Implementation Engineers, Provisioning, and NOC Technicians. • Maintain and manage lab environments. • Responsible for extensive code regression testing and roll out of new approved code.• Work with equipment vendors on escalations, code bugs, and feature requests. • Provide configuration templates for Implementation Engineers for all Nationwide CPE devices.• Create and publish certified CPE documentation for sales and product managers.• Provide technical support to Sales and Sales Engineering associates.• Work with Sales/Marketing team to define/rollout new technology and products for services.

• Designed, implemented and managed improvements to regional Service Provider Network supporting enterprise, government and educational customers in Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle. Provided remote administration for AdTran , Cisco, and Juniper switching and routing gear located in the Regional and Satellite Point-of-Presence facilities. Responsible for routine maintenance and upgrade of all WAN facilities, including network documentation using Visio.• Lead Engineer for InLine’s Service Provider Network covering 2000 miles of fiber optic cable, consisting of 1 central data center, and 30 POP locations throughout Mississippi. Responsible for routing and switching architecture of the network. Provide direction and network plans to onsite engineers for implementation. • Tier 3 liaison to InLine's Help Desk, providing support and direction during mission critical outages and regional repair-and-recovery initiatives. Responsibilities included management of mission critical vendor teams, LEC/ILEC escalation, root cause analysis and leadership of on-site repair crews.
