Focus of practice includes the representation of employers in the areas of labor and employment law and defense of employment-related and general commercial litigation, with experience in mediation and arbitration, and trial and appellate advocacy before federal courts, state courts and administrative agencies, including the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Board of Review, West Virginia Bureau of Employment Programs Board of Review, West Virginia Human Rights Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and National Labor Relations Board.Specialties: Practice areas include: defense of Title VII and state law claims of employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, unfair labor practices, OSHA citations, and labor-management disputes; contract negotiations; preparation of employee handbooks; defense of grievances and arbitrations; workers’ compensation defense; and general commercial litigation.
