Created custom compression test frame equipment to be used during sleep pre-clinical studies to evaluate placement at time of implant and then after several months survival for mesh ingrowth. Participated in female human cadavers to evaluate prototype incontinence mesh and anchors, and delivery tool designs.Solved a number of mystery scrap issues in operations:(1) Determined black foreign material from a parylene coating process was caused by inadequate equipment cleaning because key cleaning directions from the equipment manual were not in the process and operators had inadequately trained. Solved 70k a week manufacturing scrap issue by mitigating foreign material was appearing after curing coated on a form. Interviews operators for potential root causes, got approval to place Petri dishes in the laminar flow fume hood, suspected FM was dropping from above, took hood apart, cable coating which manual said could not be in contact with certain volatiles, needed to replace cables and place in preventative maintenance system. Problem was resolved. Started up WH Physician Training Models-Pelvises were 3D scanned, prototyped and injected silicone to make the first 3D molds. Worked with vendor to create carring cases, created discs to simulate the clinical membrane utilized to anchor the mesh so physicians could understand the feel of implant success.
