General Manager Of Operations
CurrentAs General Manager of Operations at Vulcan Engineering Co., I get the pleasure of working with the finest team of engineers, manufacturing specialists and field technicians in North America. We offer a complete line of stand alone equipment, as well as custom integration of foundry systems.I became a Project Engineer with Vulcan in October 1992. My first couple of years were focused on the Environmental / Dust Collection side of our business. I then moved over to our Foundry Systems group and designed all types of sand system equipment, such as belt conveyors, bucket elevators, rotary screens, etc. As I continued to grow with our organization, my role expanded into Project Management. As a Project Manager, I managed Lost Foam Projects, Mold Handling Systems for No-Bake Molding, Green Sand Systems and general foundry projects.I became the Engineering Manager of Fox Grinders, Vulcan's Grinder group in 1999, in order to merge the proven manual machines into our Robotics Group. We designed numerous machines to work in unison with robots including bonded abrasive wheels, super abrasive wheels, belt grinders, milling tools, wire brushes and virtually every combination thereof. Vulcan continues to be a leader in the foundry industry in the area of robotic finishing. It was during this time that I became the Engineering and Manufacturing Manager, which began my career in manufacturing management. As Vulcan restructured and redefined our focus in 2008/2009, I became the Operations Manager. While maintaining the role of Engineering Manager for the Grinders Group, I also began to assume full responsibility for our Fabrication / Manufacturing, IT Systems, and Field Installation. In 2012, this role expanded to full General Manager of Operations including management of all our Engineering and Project Management, as well as all previous duties.Vulcan is a world class engineering, manufacturing and installation company serving the foundry industry worldwide.
