I project managed the ‘Keeping Connected Design Challenge’, an eight-month government initiative competition which placed designers in 15 schools with the aim to help pupils develop ‘service design’ ideas to improve the way older people connect with society. Involved using PRINCE 2 and APM documentation and methods.

CCE managed major projects in the cultural and education sectors: Examples of projects I worked on included:1) 'Find Your Talent' : Involved managing and supporting the administration of a £25 million budget, overseeing the running a young people’s group, managing a team of five staff and developing safeguarding policies.2) I worked on two projects that involved running consultation workshops with young people in Amsterdam and Riga (Latvia) to discover their views on culture and education. These results of these consultations were fed into high level government consultations.

I held three posts in ACE:1) Project Officer in the Projects department - assisting managers with projects, assisting in developing project training and managing the intranet pages. I chaired a group that managed cross departmental events and meetings. 2) Project Officer to the The Lottery Forum: Involved implementing a new common complaints process and customer charter for eight Lottery distributors, assisting in developing a National Lottery funding website and call centre, proof reading reports sent to government, setting and administering a 25k budget.3) Project Manager in the ‘Enquiries’ department. Enquiries was the first point of contact for 10 offices’ external and internal phone and email enquiries. I assisted in developing and implementing this service. Duties included: managing the transition of regional offices joining the service, supervising a team of 15, resource planning, recruitment and training staff.

PPL is responsible for collecting copyright fees for the broadcast, public performance and copying of sound recordings and music videos. My duties included: managing a team, issuing licences, writing contracts, managing projects to increase revenue, implementing team finance and administrative systems and financial reporting to directors. I consistently exceeded revenue targets. I was trained in copyright and finance management.
