Current• Industrial Mechanic in the Industrial Repair Division at Motion Canada as the Lead Industrial Mechanic. • Led installation of a variety of industrial machinery, including but not limited to: cut-to-length/slitter machines, printing presses, plastic injection molding machinery, and air and water line systems. • Accompanied the Motion Sales Team as an infield consultant for installation and repair projects. Worked closely with the client to ensure customer satisfaction whilst generating layout blueprints, as well as budgetary estimates for number of hours for labor, cost of project including time and materials, and number of resources required to install or repair. • Designed and executed ergonomic shop set up and work stations, which included rigging, moving, alignment, and levelling of equipment. • Day-to-day activities as an industrial mechanic at Motion Canada include: welding and fabrication of safety equipment and machinery, conveyor systems, and hoppers; high pressure welding of hydraulic cylinders; hydraulic repair and installation, and repair of gear box components. • Perform conventional machining on the repair of gearbox components including: metalizing, bearings, and seal fits. • Engaged in diagnostics, repairs, and modifications for industries including but limited to: refineries, foundries, aircraft simulation manufacturers, printing, food and grocery manufacturing, construction (aggregate) manufacturing, etc. • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements on machinery by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. • Communicated with co-workers to troubleshoot and diagnose the mechanical issue and discuss a repair strategy.
