Networking Design Engineer
CurrentSRP's telecommunication networks are changing rapidly due to evolving business and customer needs. To meet these needs, legacy networks must be modernized for generation stations, substations, control centers and facilities. The responsibilities of the Contingent Worker will be to design Internet Protocol (IP) and Multi-Protocol Label Switching connectivity for operational technology (OT) electronic devices such as relays, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), meters and transformer monitors. Job Responsibilities:Performs IT work in SRP's Telecom Network Engineering for OT electric and water grid devicesDesign IP/MPLS networks and underlying technologies associated with themPrepare documentation such as network diagrams, internal process and procedure guidesPrepares and/or conducts written and oral reports and presentations to peers and managementIdentify trends and root causes of challenges, determines solutions, and makes recommendations for management considerationApplies SRP and IT processes/methods, practices and techniques to deliver solutions for SRP Telecommunication Systems
