I've been a self-educated Graphic Designer, Digital Cartographer, IT Professional, University-level Adjunct Instructor, and Community Volunteer for the past 40 years. It's a career that I achieved without the benefit of a College Degree. I held the positions of Production Artist/Pre-press Technician, GSA-registered Graphics Contractor, Art / Photo Director, Creative Director, Publisher's Agent, Creative Marketing Director, Digital Cartographer, Interim Adjunct Instructor, Graphic Designer, and Laser Engraving Technician for a variety of firms serving different industries and government agencies in the Des Moines area and the Nation's Capital. During this time, I became an entrepreneur, business owner, a pioneer in the development of Postscript® vector- and raster-based digital map construction and publishing standards. My professional career included a long commitment as a community volunteer in neighborhood redevelopment, neighborhood reinvestment, small business development, transportation planning and I became the longest-serving member and chairman of a local city land development board. I'm now retired but I'm not giving up just yet. There are things I still want to do in my personal and professional capacities. I'll let you know what those capacities are in the near future.
Listed skills include Autodesk Inventor, Revit, Bim, Autocad Civil 3D, and 44 others.
