Serves as an acquisition advisor to Assistant Lab Directors and senior stakeholders on Procurement related acquisitions in support of SLAC's high dollar, complex requirements. Serves as the senior individual responsible for the daily operations of the Procurement function. Responsible for the daily oversight of all pre and post award contract management activities of the procurement staff.Responsible for the timely acquisition and contract management of SLAC's complex supply, service, and construction requirements.

• Assists the Supply Chain Management Director in the development and maintenance of written policies and procedures describing SCM procedures approved by Dept of Energy.• Serves as procurement advisor to customers and senior stakeholders on SCM/Procurement related acquisitions in support of Stanford National Accelerator Lab requirements. • Assists in the technical oversight of the Procurement operations function.

Led from 3-5 Directors and 50+ personnel covering third party and supplier risk assessments and management• Third Party Security Management Program with dotted line responsibility into Corporate Information Security Officer – Led design and transfer for Business Outsourcing Process including 100% turnover in personnel in 10 months while increasing quality of support to Lead Operational Risk Officers• Supplier Risk and Performance Management Program – implemented first ever global supplier risk assessment tool for Amex and since Aug 2011 risk assessed over 6000 suppliers – increasing understanding and the risk picture to ensure regulatory oversight is second to none• Led GSM activity in 5 merger-acquisitions and 1 divesture in last 18 months – ensuring integration includes risk and due diligence components

Led 22 diverse staff members and provided strategic, routine, and leverage oversight over $1 billion in annual spend across 14 commodities• First director of the U.S Buying Center for Amex Procurement that created the organization, established team responsibilities for $800M in leveraged “goods” commodities, the Customer Care Center and $1B in labor services spend – three very diverse teams• Developed manpower models based on metrics to ensure right sized staffing• Selected to lead a Contracts Pilot Project for consolidating legal terms and conditions expertise to streamline procurement process – resulted in 50% reduction in time to contract• Led catalog hosting project to move from third party provider to in-house model for 37 global catalogs
