Mr. DeMott graduated from Buena Vista University with a degree in Business, Human Resource Development, and Psychology and has over 39 years of experience in preparing for, responding to, recovering from, and mitigating activities for an all-hazards environment.Mr. DeMott spent 20 years of his career as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician, 5 years as a Emergency Management and Homeland Security 10 years as a Training Manage then Director for Texas A&M Engineering Extension (TEEX), National Sports Safety and Security (NCS4), the last year at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) as their Technology Manager and the implementation of Hacking for Defense (H4D) at USM.Mr. DeMott has extensive experience in developing plans, policy, procedures, and training in Anti-Terrorism and Disaster Response. Mr. DeMott has 25 years’ experience in developing performance and management level training for Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. During Mr. DeMott’s 20 years in the EOD field as an EOD Technician and NCO EOD Operations Officer. During his service in various positions, he had responded to Events of National Significance, Terrorism, and other Improvised Explosive Devices throughout the United States.
