Perform various laboratory tests on samples of asphalt and gravel, such as density and composition, using paving sample splitters, split spoon samplers, drying ovens, underwater scales, and multi-level sieve towers.
Tasked with the design, scheduling, preparation and supervision of product testing for industrial circuit breakers. When not doing this, I worked on a project to retro-fit a newer model of breakers against older model setups, as well as assisting other engineers and summer interns.
Successfully completed Basic Military Training program (8-1/2 weeks) and trained as an Aerospace Maintenance Apprentice, or "crew chief", tasked with routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of C-130 aircraft. Duties also included CQ (dorm security) and CTK (tool crib maintenance). I achieved the rank of Airman First Class ("A1C", grade E-3).
Designed custom product solutions, new product designs, and manufacturing support operations from the engineering side such as improved drawings and database enhancements.
Continuous Improvement Engineering Department. Receive and assess customer requests for customized product designs by communicating with manufacturing departments on feasibility and costs. Also, the design and re-design (when necessary) of custom parts and modification of existing parts and manufacturing processes for optimization and quality improvement. Test products to determine packaging requirements necessary to decrease damage rates. All work done in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
Review and process floor plans and projects to create document packages for customer approval and production scheduling. Work to design spreadsheets, software applications, and process improvement methods.
