Sr. Project Engineer – New Product DevelopmentLeads and manages efforts to Design, Develop, and Implement Quality Systems to support Sub-Zero/Wolf’s New Product Launch Process. This position establishes work tasks and project timelines for both Supplier and Process Quality Engineering and with other Cross-Function Departments. The position oversees and guides quality teams in the following areas; Design Reviews, Process Reviews, Contract Reviews, Control Plans, Facilities Planning, Quality Equipment Planning, Statistical Studies, Quality Systems, SPEC Guidelines, Fabrication Layout/Qualification, and Post-Mortem Project Reviews.

•Assist others in the problem solving process by identifying root cause, corrective action, and final evaluation.•Develop, implement, and maintain inspection control procedures, control plans, sampling plans, logs, lists, and metrics.•Manage the implementation and maintenance of dimensional layout methods, lab procedures, quality fixtures, and gauging.•Manage the implementation and maintenance of internal qualification processes.•Manage and perform internal and external Audits.•Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning and PPAP Processes (PFMEAs, Control Plans, Capability/Statistical Studies).•Lead efforts to develop, implement, and maintain quality performance metrics (PPAP, FPY, CP, CAL and Reliability).•Manage and support the product development process through the creation of SZ/Wolf D/PFMEA, Control Plans, Critical Processes, KCC’s, KCV, and Qualification Testing.•Initiate continuous improvement on existing products through customer feedback and by implementing design/reliability changes.•Lead in the design and implementation of Quality/Reliability Systems and Procedures. •Lead efforts in support of data collection functions of all quality systems. (FPQ, CP audit, Component, CAL, KCV, Non-conforming materials and Quality (Fail) Coding Systems)•Lead and support Quality activities for current product: metric presentation, data review, facilitation with applicable quality tools, corrective action and process improvement support.•Support Reliability improvement team or improvement projects through processing, analysis, and presentation of field data.•Manage the implementation and maintenance of calibration and measurement systems analysis of QA instruments.•Conduct training of quality systems and tools.•Manage and participate in budgeting processes, including preparing, developing, writing and providing information for Capital Appropriations. (CARs)•Provides leadership, performance evaluation, and discipline to direct reports.

As a Validation Engineer I oversaw to validation of door components and systems for the Mid Size Luxury Group (Buick, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Cadillac). Components included lock/latch, handles, sealing systems, window lift systems, mirrors both internal and external, and sheet metal. Managed test plan, scheduled testing and performed root cause analysis of issues discovered during testing. Validated engineering solutions to close out issues that were discovered.
