An extremely successful and seasoned professional with a background in legislative, regulatory, and compliance issues for a variety of professions, including K-12 and higher education, animal/veterinary health, pharmaceuticals, and pharmacy.I became a nationally recognized K-12 education specialist for NCSL, working primarily on No Child Left Behind (NCLB). I led a bipartisan task force of over a dozen legislators on a thorough investigation into the law and its impact on state policy. I authored a task force report that made national headlines and changed the direction of NCLB. I was often quoted in the media, including the NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, USA Today, Fox News, etc. I then moved over to higher education and helped lead the accreditation process for the college of education, making us the first online, for-profit college to be accredited. Lastly, I joined a start-up with a handful of clients and employees and grew it into a significant organization and contributor to veterinary medicine, animal welfare, animal pharmaceuticals, and pharmacy policy.
