I am currently working as an Athletic Trainer for Seattle Sounders FC in Major League Soccer. Working primarily in a table top evaluation capacity, treatments span from the medical room into the gym for advanced exercise prescription. Responsibilities include determining the most effective intervention strategies to optimize performance and reduce the risk of injury. I prioritize the latest research and peer reviewed information to ensure that my treatment protocols are evidence-based and up to date. Prior to Seattle, I was with FC Cincinnati. Working with the injured First Team players my role encompassed planning of the greater Return to Play Rehabilitation program, before executing the plan on-field with the player. Working collaboratively with the MDT within the club, primary responsibilities were taking the player out of the acute phase of injury and into the safe step-wise progression and exposure to sport- and position-specific demands before the player is tested out of rehabilitation to return back to the team environment. I completed my Masters in Science with emphasis on Exercise Science, Fitness and Conditioning from Arizona State University in 2020. I hold my Bachelors in Athletic Training from McKendree University in 2016. My educational background allows me to utilize the data associated with Sports Performance to quantify Sports Medicine techniques and rehabilitative methodologies, making informed decisions for the betterment of the athlete based off the combination of subjective and objective information.
