Quality Assurance Analyst Lead
CurrentA position that utilizes a variety of testing approaches and techniques to validate system funcationality, typically providing functional, black-box and user acceptance testing. Understands the business flow, interconnections of business processes, common system usage patterns or system behaviors and compliance requirements of each transaction for system under test. Creates tests that model business scenarios to validate that the system functions as intended and to expose risks related to unintended consequences. Uses analytical and problem-solving skills to recognize and reduce redundancies in testing efforts, minimize complexity, and create efficiency without compromising effectiveness. Typically, tests completed software or end-to-end transactions for projects. Creates, executes, troubleshoots and maintains automated scripts independently. Is self-motivated to achieve effective outcomes in testing software and to enhance organizational performance. Interacts closely with peers and business customers in the system analysis process and helps to gather requirements that facilitate system testing. Participates in requirements reviews, design reviews, systems analysis and testing review discussions. Follows the established Test Strategy and Test Plan to guide testing efforts for assigned work. Tests systems or system components utilizing manual and black box testing methods. Creates test cases to demonstrate clarity and testability of requirements. Discovers and reports defects. Interprets trends and creates effective ways to display information by using data and logical methods to increase efficiency and identify risks to systems. Creates and uses automated scripts to increase efficiencies in testing, including troubleshooting problems with scripts and providing ongoing maintenance. Creates effective ways to display data using various modeling, reporting, statistical perspectives and trending methods.
