Mr. Cornwell was a key developer who architected and developed a Ruby on Rails application that is used to extract data from a user specified list of commercial websites. This data is scraped from the web sites of interest and written into an Open MS Word formatted reports. This report is also written into HTML format that can be used by all client employees through an internal website. Mr. Cornwell took over a social bookmaking and tagging site as the sole developer. He quickly came up to speed with Ruby on Rails and started implementing customer requirements and bug fixes. Mr. Cornwell improved the deployment processes using Capistrano and implemented the first complete iteration of a Restful Web interface.Mr. Cornwell was the technical lead on a Java based project. After becoming a member of this team he has solved many outstanding issues that were delaying operational deployment. He quickly came up to speed with MySQL database and used the Tomcat application server. Also, Mr. Cornwell has solved issues regarding the integration of the POI Apache software which extract metadata from file formats based upon Microsoft's OLE format.Mr. Cornwell was Ruby on Rails developer for a small agile team that made several successful deliveries. This project brought together all daily information as well as importing large amounts of legacy data into one single point of access to provide dissemination to multiple customer entities.Mr. Cornwell was the senior J2EE technical lead for a project where he managed the backend software development team. He was the key architect and developer responsible for the successful delivery of a content-management system using Java, Hibernate, Spring and numerous other J2EE platform related technologies. Mr. Cornwell designed and implemented the multimedia request manager, a Hibernate solution that mapped Java objects to an Oracle relational database. He wrote and optimized numerous SQL objects using the Data Access Objects pattern.

Mr. Cornwell was the lead programmer for a J2EE web-based application. He designed the N-tier architecture to replace an existing UNIX Motif application. He wrote UML use cases, collaboration diagrams, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams for the new architecture, and he successfully presented the design at a system preliminary design review. Also, he was responsible for system reviews, code implementation, and code reviews. Mr. Cornwell designed and prototyped security features using Java authentication and authorization service. He managed and performed trades studies for project components such as Hibernate, Webwork, and Spring. He developed a prototype for building test mock objects using the Castor XML data binding.Mr. Cornwell was a key software engineer responsible for content management components for an intelligence production system. The components were developed in Java. He implemented the JCR 170 specification for content management components, which allowed the system to interface with the Stellent document management system.Mr. Cornwell designed a common back-end service interface in Java to allow front-end applications to easily interface with the existing common back-end services.

Mr. Cornwell worked on multiple projects in various leadership roles. He was the technical lead for the Software Development Internet Services Team. He was the Java architect for the COLT CMM assessment tool, where he designed and developed the backend architecture using Java Beans utilizing a JSP front-end. Mr. Cornwell was the Java architect for the National Center for Education and the Economy, where he developed calendar scheduling systems and login management using Java Beans. Mr. Cornwell was Technical Project Manager and Java developer for the Action Item Tracking Tool project. He maintained and developed Enterprise Java Beans to meet client requirements. He was the developer for a Java application to parse PDF files and identify regions of interest based on internal business rules. Mr. Cornwell was one of six finalists for submission of the “Federated Authentication and Authorization Framework” (FAAF). FAAF would utilize SAML, SOAP and XML encryption to provide an open standard single-sign on capability.
