Mr. August currently serves as Chief Investment Manager for the California State University in the Office of the Chancellor. In his current role, Mr. August provides leadership and strategic direction for the University's consolidated investment pool, a global multi-asset portfolio, which totals in excess of $8 billion. Mr. August works closely with the CSU’s investment advisor, the CSU Investment Advisory Committee, and the CSU’s investment managers. In overseeing the investment portfolios, Mr. August works extensively on governance, portfolio construction, asset allocation, investment manager research, executing investment strategy and monitoring the investment portfolios. Mr. August also consults on the University’s defined contribution retirement plan.
