I am a union lawyer and a partner of O’Donoghue & O’Donoghue LLP, based in Washington, D.C. and Annapolis, Maryland. I serve as the Deputy General Counsel of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO, CLC, which represents over 380,000 plumbers, pipe fitters, sprinkler fitters, service technicians and welders in nearly 275 local unions across North America.Over the years, I have counseled and represented labor unions in all aspects of their operations and mission, including collective bargaining, contract administration, internal governance, organizing and recruitment, and proceedings before the courts, the National Labor Relations Board, the U.S. Department of Labor, and other bodies. I have also worked closely with unions on legislative and regulatory priorities, election law and lobbying compliance, and a variety of other matters.
