Scott is an adaptable engineer and consulting professional with over 8 years experience in a wide range of sectors, including construction, oil and gas, mining, marine, government and utilities across WA and Queensland.With a background in construction, his career has encompassed all stages of the project lifecycle. He connects organisational needs with the practical implications and all the steps in between. He understands the importance of risk in strategic decisions, planning the following interactions with all involved stakeholders, and effectively manages change as it arises. His time in consulting allowed him to review comprehensive systems, analyse and solve the root causes of challenges, and create greater outcomes for clients and ultimately the community. He has a demonstrated ability to manage the analysis, diagnosis and resolution of complex problems within large corporate environments. He also has a great passion and interest for workplace learning, development and wellbeing and the factors that contribute to mentally healthy workplaces.His career has afforded him the opportunity to volunteer in the community. This has been as a mentor, board member, and later President for the charity Leading Youth Forward (LYF), and a treasurer and committee member for his sporting club. Leading Youth Forward gives opportunity to 60-80 at-risk teenagers in the Perth metropolitan area through positive role models and mentoring, and by hosting weekend camps and large group 'Big Day Out' events throughout the year. Scott is politically and financially astute, a skilled facilitator in complex stakeholder environments, and can converse effectively within collaborative settings at all levels of an organisation.
