I help my clients with contract disputes, credit and lease agreements, creditor’s rights and landlord tenant law. I lead the commercial and retail collections practice and provide a service to collect outstanding receivables. Like a collection agency, I help my clients collect receivables that are past due. But unlike a collection agency, my clients have the additional legal resources and knowledge of an attorney. I perform all the collection processes an agency does, but I have the added ability to apply legal recourse such as obtaining a judgement and executing the judgement. My clients benefit with a more efficient process and in most cases a higher financial resolution.I work with a range of clients who have loan, credit or contract receivable issues. These include medical practices, educational institutions, banking and financial organizations as well as retail and commercial property owners. I also work with tenants on lease agreements and resolving issues or disputes they may have.Besides working on contract disputes and commercial collections, I proactively work with clients to draft agreements that include language detailing a collection process. Documenting the process in the contract can lead to a more appropriate recourse in the ultimate outcome of a collections case.I’ve been involved with collections and civil litigation all my career.
