• Wrote the three-part investigative series "A Neighborhood In Peril" documenting how environmental regulators allowed cancer-causing chromium to migrate under a neighborhood of 600 homes in Garfield, NJ. The series won the 2012 Community Service Award from The Society of Silurians, a first place award from the New Jersey Press Association and is a finalist for a Deadline Club Award. • One of the lead reporters on the environmental series "Toxic Landscape" that was recognized by Investigative Reporters and Editors Inc. in its "Year in Investigative Reporting (2010)." • Promoted to environmental writer in 2008 for New Jersey’s largest news organization after several years covering politics and urban issues. • Named a senior writer in 2005, becoming one of the youngest reporters at The Record to reach the position.• While covering Paterson - NJ's third largest city - co-wrote “The Flipside of Home Ownership” which detailed an inner-city real estate scheme involving government-backed mortgages. Promoted to state and federal courthouse beat. • Lead reporter on the state’s top environmental issue: a rash of childhood cancer cases in Toms River. Broke stories that were picked up by wire services and national media.• Reported on the lack of radar devices on most Air Force planes after a mid-air collision involving a cargo plane from New Jersey. Picked up by other news organizations and helped usher in reforms in military airplane safety.
