I have over a decade of both internal and external auditing experience, but frankly you can see that if you look at my job history. What I want to convey here is my mentality when it comes to auditing: Thi most important thing that an auditor can do is to help provide the tools and knowledge that can set employees up for as much success as possible.Auditors are often looked at as enemies; there's a perpetuated notion that we're out to get people, and that our success is determined by the failure of those we audit. It is my goal as an auditor to dispel this notion as much as I can. We should thrive to ensure that employees succeed in their work in a way that benefits their companies, their stakeholders, their clients and customers, and ultimately themselves. Their wins are our wins.Wherever my time as an auditor takes me, this will always be the mentality that I maintain, and it will always influence my actions in any auditing role.
