For five years at this family owned and operated company, my duties included: Maintain service route of up to 16 accounts, driving distance of greater than 150 miles per day. Oversee training of employees and day to day operation of employees. Assist in marketing, creating statistics of how our business can improve the sales of our clients. Analysis of area and creating detailed reports of profit potentials. Maintain supply inventory, consisting of various supplies and merchandise, totaling up to $50,000.

During my 3 years at Mercury Insurance, some of the duties I performed were: Customer service, providing direct assistance to agents over the phone and email, and executing needed policy changes in a timely manner. Data Entry, entering desired policy changes and ensuring their accuracy. Phone handling, answer calls from agents and customers, and directing the calls appropriately. Maintaining filing system of extensive paper and computerized filing system of more than 100,000 customers, moving thousands of files through the system daily. Input daily cash intake, check and match customer checks to policies, making sure amounts add up to the computer total, in numbers some times reaching hundreds of thousands of dollars daily. Training new employees, giving new employees first day orientations and welcome, making sure each new employee has all supplies necessary for their job as well as instructing them on the use of the computer software and the filing system used.

During college, I worked for the City of Rancho Cucamonga and my job duties were as follows: Building coverage, ensuring all rental rooms are set up and torn down at appropriate times and making sure rented rooms are occupied as scheduled without any scheduling conflicts. Opening and closing building unsupervised, with responsibilities that included checking of security system and making sure daily cash was locked away in a safe. Cash intake, manually writing receipts and accounting of cash transactions in excess of $5,000 a day. Balancing of daily cash intake for end day financial reports. Extensive customer service, dealing directly with the public in making sure that all contract requirements were met and satisfaction was guaranteed. Computer publishing of a monthly publication called “The Silver Fox” aimed at senior patron activities, including calendar organization and day and extended trip advertising. The publication was recreated cover to cover by myself at the behest of my then supervisor and put in to circulation for more than two years running.
