A seasoned communicator with extensive experience at the executive level. Scott has worked in the corporate, government, academic and not-for-profit-sectors. Prior to stepping away from full time work, he was a director with the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) where he led the communications, public affairs, and production division. His background as a successful news executive give him the expertise to deal with media and crisis communications. He also taught journalism at Carleton University.Scott's expertise in media relations comes from actually producing interviews with prime ministers and every day people. He wrote the tough question lines and coached the news correspondents. That's a skill he passed on to students at Carleton's School of Journalism and Communications.Scott is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth ll Diamond Jubilee Medal and Ottawa's Community Builder Award.He currently sits on the Board of the Ottawa Mission where he is past president. He also serves ona the Gala Committee of the Wabano Centre on Aboriginal Health.
