About Scott Harkless

Hello, My name is Scott Harkless. I am a student of Library Science at Kutztown University. Currently I am on my senior semester for my undergraduate degree in LS. This may be an unusual choice, yet I believe it is the right one for me as it has allowed me to ground a diverse body of experience on a strong Library Science foundation. My focus is in archiving and special collections librarianship with interests in library advocacy, digital librarianship, and public programing. In addition to my Library Science background I also consider myself something of a historian. I grew up in a historical fabrics and costuming business that produced costuming for over 80 films and documentaries, as well as museum replicas and private costuming. I have a minor in history, and I am a living historian. This has helped me work with materials from World War II, World War I, The Civil War, and maintaining a small collection on medieval studies.I am enjoy any opportunity for experience, so please feel free to contact me concerning any need for work, paid or volunteer.
