Executive Vice President And ProvostCleveland Institute Of Music Aug 2021 - PresentCleveland, Ohio, United StatesMy scope as CIM’s chief academic officer spans our Conservatory, Academy, and Joint Music Program with Case Western Reserve University. My tenure at CIM has been defined by transformative faculty appointments and eclectic guest engagements; a revitalization of performing ensembles through regular appearances by leading American conductors, an expansion of the opera season to include an annual contemporary American offering each year, the debut of the Global Music Experience; the introduction of CIM 360, a suite of wellness offerings promoting physical and mental health for musicians; and the launch of the Academy, a comprehensive and performance-based approach to preparatory training for K-12 students, alongside growth in the Musical Pathway Fellowship for Black and Latinx youth to 30 participants (from 6). As a partner to our President, I often represent the school publicly and regularly help advance donor relationships as CIM’s fundraising and scholarships continue to grow, and the Institute secures the most significant donations in its history. Collaboratively incorporating faculty, staff, and Trustee input into the accreditation process, I oversaw the delivery of a successful 2022 Interim Report that the Higher Learning Commission commended. -
