My practice concentrates on municipal and public entity representation, construction management and litigation, and business and commercial litigation.I currently serve as city attorney for the City of Avalon on Catalina Island and as general counsel for the Gold Coast Health Plan, which provides medical care and services for over 200,000 residents in Ventura County. I am the past president of the City Attorneys Association of Los Angeles County and I served on the board of directors for St. Anne’s Maternity Home.For the past decade, I am been chosen as a Super Lawyer by my peers. Super Lawyers are recognized by fellow attorneys as being in the top 5% of attorneys.I have also presented several papers at the annual League of California Cities conference.When time permits, I travel to Scotland to vacation and visit my namesake's ancestral castles and homeland. The highlands of Scotland and the City of Edinburgh are my favorite places on the earth.
